Healing doesn't look like a straight line — it looks like small, quiet shifts that no one else notices but you.
If you've ever felt like you're "not healing fast enough," here's a gentler way to think about it: healing moves more like a Ferris wheel than a race — you circle back to old feelings, but each time, a little more equipped to hold them.
Some days, healing looks like:
↳ Slowing Down — You stop rushing through life and start noticing it.
↳ Speaking Up — You begin saying what you actually feel, even when it's uncomfortable.
↳ Letting Go — You release what was never yours to carry.
↳ Noticing Patterns — You start recognizing old patterns instead of repeating them automatically.
↳ Feeling Again — You let emotions exist without rushing to judge or fix them.
↳ Rebuilding Trust — You slowly learn to trust your own choices and instincts again.
↳ Taking Up Space — You stop shrinking yourself to keep others comfortable.
↳ Allowing Joy — You let good moments be good, without waiting for them to end.
↳ Protecting Your Peace — You become more intentional about what you let into your life.
↳ Resting Without Guilt — You understand rest doesn't need to be earned.
↳ Staying Curious — You start asking "what happened to me?" instead of "what's wrong with me?"
↳ Being Patient With the Process — You accept that healing moves in circles, not straight lines.
A gentle truth worth holding onto: you don't have to "arrive" anywhere to be healing — you only have to keep circling back to yourself, a little more gently each time.
